OSM is a feature-length multi-layered part drama/part thriller film set in present day London.

OSM is about the lack of community. But the film’s intention is to re-build a sense of community through the art of film.

TERROR’ is a word synonymous with the modern world, but for most city dwellers nowadays their day-to-day ‘fear’ is exactly how and where do they fit in? And with no real sense of community how can people be part of something bigger than themselves?

KINGSLEY ain’t alone he has his crew. But he is done with all that nonsense. He doesn’t want to be a young, frustrated, no-hope cliché and he suddenly gets the chance of a brighter future. So that when he has a family of his own, his kids can keep their innocence and have the childhood he never had. Getting out the game ain’t ever easy though.

‘Who am I? What is expected of me? How am I supposed to be?’

EMILY is a wife and a mother, but she feels miscast in a role she just can’t seem to get to grips with. It doesn’t help that her estranged celebrity husband MAX is on the brink and losing the plot fast. But to save him, she first needs to find herself again and get her life back, which has been slowly slipping away.

JAHMAL has money and wants for nothing. Well he has family money. But the jet-set lifestyle has left him unhappy and without any real friends or purpose. He meets and falls for LOTTE, but she doesn’t want to be under his control, so he forces the issue. This plunges him into an irrevocable situation, where his decisions have dire consequences.

‘What’s meant to be is meant to be. So will I become what I deserve?’

GEORGE has just turned 50. He could not be more ordinary, but he is happy with his lot. He drives a taxi in the daytime and spends his evenings with his doting wife KATHY. That is until a horrific accident changes everything and he becomes a stranger in his own life. GEORGE has to find inner strength to avoid losing everything.

We all live in the confines of ‘FEAR’, but as the globalised and social network world we exist in appears to make it smaller, the real distance between our friends, neighbours and community just gets bigger.

KINGSLEY, EMILY, JAHMAL and GEORGE all live very different lives, but what seems to be more and more prevalent is that their own lonely ‘bubble’ existence is lived out in close proximity to each other. Yet they are all oblivious to what the other is doing.

That is until their worlds inadvertently collide and love, friendship, revenge and the human spirit are tested to the limit. Sometimes we all need a helping hand to move forward in life….

Gervais, Merchant and Pilkington continue to evolve and amuse.

I have to say though a physically fit man can never be as funny as a fatty. Just look at other recently reformed chubbsters, Seth Rogen and Jonah Hill. Their style and humour was based on self-depreciation and now they just look a bit weird.

That said he’s still not doing bad and what a job…

The popular with-all-ages teenage comedy, renowned for its razor-sharp banter, is out on the big-screen today and if it can match the three TV seasons- it promises to be a classic.

The move to the big-screen never worked out for Ali G or Kevin and Perry but succeeded beyond all expectations for Borat and Bruno. It is therefore a risk, but the writers Damon Beesley and Iain Morris have nailed all the episodes to date- so I personally can’t see it failing to deliver. Many of the story lines are based on the writer’s own personal experiences and with the  experienced actors all in their mid-late twenties it has always been ‘bang on the money’, so why should it be any different in the longer format?

An interesting fact about the writers is that Ricky Gervais, in revenge for the back injury he suffered at the hands of Iain Morris during a wrestling match in his front room in 2003, named the two homosexual BBC producers in his show Extras after them.

In anticipation of our trip to the cinema tonight, I used the word ‘clunge’ in the car this morning whilst driving my seventeen year old nephew to work experience. He just looked at me as if I was an embarrassing uncle trying to be down with the kids-unfortunately twenty years too late! I expect this sad uncle/dad phenomena to be common over the next few weeks. But let’s just leave it to Jay-the master of CLUNGE…..

In just two years under the guidance of Andy Flower, England are about to become the number one side in the world and have a steely back-bone and a strength in-depth- that surely surpasses the achievements of any previous English test teams over the past forty years?

However, it is Shane Warne’s ever-changing appearance that has been even more dramatic.

Is this a new disguise to secretly draft him back into the struggling Aussie team or is he really auditioning for the new Face/Off sequel?

Batting above his place in the order seems the most likely answer. It worked for Ian Bell though during the recent second test at Trent Bridge!
